United Staging currently stocks over 380 chain motors manufactured by CM. Available capacities include 1/4 ton, 1/2 ton, 1 ton and 2 ton with standard 16 feet per minute speed. 32 fpm and 64 fpm speed and are also available. 80' of lift is standard; many other lengths are available. Additionally, we stock sound suppression bags, outdoor raincoats and CM manual chain falls, with 30' of lift.
We have a full stock of rigging support gear, including spansets, Gac Flex, shackles, eye to eye steel, beam clamps, pear rings, turnbuckles, aluminum I beams, trolleys, grid pipes and deck chain.
Our motor control systems are manufactured by Skjonberg and Motion Laboratories. We have a wide variety of power distribution and cabling, featuring Veam 7-pin connectors. We offer a computer-controlled control system with 32 channels and Load Cell Systems from Motion Labs.
The Server is a computer-assisted motor control system developed and manufactured by Motion Laboratories. Operating within the Windows environment, the Server is designed to help your productions run smoother and more efficiently.
We supply a laptop and all the necessary hardware/software components for a complete system.
The new Load Sensing System from Motion Laboratories utilizes bar graph LED displays to relate critical information about chain hoist payloads at a glance. The system is made up of two components: The Load-Cell and the Cell-Mate.
The Load-Cell hangs in line between the set point and the chain hoist. Cells are rated for 1/2, 1, or 2 ton hoists and measurement is accurate to within 1/2% of actual weight. The rated lifting eyes are made of forged carbon steel, and the entire assembly has a 5:1 safety rating. Once hung, the cells communicate with the Cell-Mate via standard three pin XLR connectors and cable.
The Cell-Mate is a remote module that displays information from the Load-Cells. LED light ladders provide continuous "heads-up" information about payloads, static or in motion. The light ladders are twenty-step, 5% display units. Eight channels of information can be monitored at once, providing accurate information, graphically, for large groups of chain hoists.
Other display functions include indicators for Circuit OK, Source Line Short Circuit, and 125% of Total Weight Load.
